One of Germany's largest reservoirs, the Edersee, awaits you. The route also takes you on a journey through the GrenzWelten National Geopark. Exciting insights into the history of the earth and the development of the landscape await you. We invite you to discover the geological, historical and cultural development on the eastern edge of the Rothaargebirge by bike. Get to know and understand the natural and cultural landscape.

Directions

Start at the visitor center in Willingen (Upland) and follow the signpost with the "Korbacher Dackel" via Usseln to Medebach, on to Korbach and over a former railroad line via Sachsenhausen towards Edersee. The route leads directly along the Edersee and on to Frankenberg, via Allendorf to Battenberg. From there, the route continues along an old railroad line to Winterberg and back to Willingen via Olsberg and Brilon.

We recommend a helmet, functional, weather-appropriate cycling clothing, backpack food, sufficient fluids (water, tea), air pump, repair kit and multi-tool.
